She was predeceased by: her parents, Alonzo Willis Watkins and Maggie M. Watkins; her husband Billy Wayne Alford; and her brother Joseph Watkins. She is survived by: her children, Sylvia Kay Allen, Denise Goodwin and Lee Thomason; her grandchildren, Crystal Barreras (Ramon Barreras), Ricky Van Goodwin, Jessica Denise Goodwin, Roger Adams Jr., Phillip Galloway Goodwin and Robert Wayne Bridges; and her great grandchildren, Savannah, Isabella, Hayden, Dakota, Lucas, Christopher and Tyler.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home (1200 Benson Rd, Garner, NC 27529). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the same location.
