It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Alice Whaley (Garner, North Carolina), who passed away on December 16, 2020, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elijah J. Newbold and Callie Sitterson Newbold; her husband Edward Kendall Whaley; and her siblings, Earl Newbold, Joyce Newbold and Peggy Marshburn.
She is survived by: her children, Philip Whaley, Beth Barber, Scott Whaley (Sherry) and Charles Whaley (Debbie); her grandchildren, Chad Holloman (Mollee), Matthew Whaley (Alice), Sara Whaley, Zachary Whaley, Abbey Whaley, Justin Whaley, Christopher Barber and Madison Whaley; her great grandchild Waylon; her siblings, Betty Schley, Bobby Newbold and Ronald Newbold (Bud); and her pet Hunter.
