She was predeceased by: her parents, David Williams and Sallie Williams of Kinston, NC.; and her former husband Edward Ray Wooten. She is survived by: her husband Victor Barfield of Garner; her sons, Edward Ray "Sonny" Wooten, Jr. (Connie) of Atlanta, GA and David T. Wooten (Rita Jo) of Kinston; her grandchildren, Lara Wooten Oldenburg (J. B.) of New York, NY and Joseph Ray Wooten of New Bern; her great grandchild Audrey Oldenburg of New York, NY; her sisters-in-law, Marguerite Wooten Currie and Dorothy Wooten Julian (Robert) of Goldsboro; her stepchildren, Victor "Buddy" Barfield, Jr. (Deborah Sykes) of Garner, David Barfield (Angelica) of Roanoke, VA, Greg Barfield of Raleigh and Donna Barfield Johnson (Todd) of Smithfield; and her stepgrandchildren, Abby Johnson of Raleigh, Cliff Johnson of Raleigh and Kevin Johnson (Samantha Brownlee) of Wilmington. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
