She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorothy Haslinger Borer and Ervin Joseph Borer; and her husband Donald Edwin Schell, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Mary Margaret Schell, Donald Edwin Schell, II and Jessica May Schell (Colleen Olfenbuttel); her grandchildren, Austin Constantino, Rocco Altomare, Jr., Matthew Schell, Miriam Schell and Jacob Schell; and her great grandchildren, Gabriel, Lucas, Ryan and Ethan.

A memorial service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home (1200 Benson Rd, Garner, NC 27529).
