With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Linwood Laverne Carter (Garner, North Carolina), who passed away on April 23, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Carter, Jr. and Carrie Pulley Carter. He is survived by: his brothers, Jerry G. Carter (Brenda) and Larry C. Carter (Kim); and his nieces and nephews, Jay Carter (Erica), Joey Carter, Tony Carter (Kristen), Shelley Kling of Jacksonville, Fla. and Jill Adams (Brian) of Johnston Co.

In 1985, Linwood was the recipient of the Garner Senior Service Award presented for his contributions to Garner Senior High.
