He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry Nichols and Ethel Pinter Nichols; his children, Kathy Macialek of Franklinton, NC, Lawrence E. Nichols, Jr. (Larry) of Monroe, NC and Richard H. Nichols of Middlesex, NC; his sister Beverly Wiggins of Loxley, AL; and his wife Margaret Ann "Peggy" Nichols. He was also cherished by his 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
