Cates, Jr.; her children, Shirlene Cates Elliott (Tim) of Clayton, Cindy Cates Snipes (Adam) of Hampstead and Michael Cates (Alissa) of Garner; her grandchildren, Kathleen Elliott Winslow, Cameron Elliott, Jaydon Campbell, Christina Snipes, Abigail Snipes and Marty Cates; her great grandchildren, Alice Winslow and Meredith Winslow; and her brother Don Casper of Cary.
