We bid farewell to Joseph Godwin (Garner, North Carolina), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 17, 2025 at the age of 80. Joseph touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Rufus Godwin and Mildred Johnson Inscoe; and his brother James Oliver Godwin. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Godwin of Raleigh; his children, Nina G. Ausley (Warren) of Clayton and Joseph "Ned" Godwin, Jr. (Christy) of Concord; and his grandchildren, Matthew C. Smith, Amber N. Ausley, Brendan A. Godwin and Abbey M. Godwin.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home (1200 Benson Rd, Garner, NC 27529). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
