He is survived by: his wife Denise Brooks; his children, Johnnie Redik Brooks, Jr., Steven Glen Brooks and Amanda Brooks Capehart (Garret Capehart); his grandchildren, Kristin Rodriguez (Alex Rodriguez), Devin Brooks, Alaina Capehart and Kennedy Capehart; his great grandchildren, Easton Brooks and Margaux Rodriguez; and his siblings, Lonnie Brooks, Cheryl Adams, Carolyn Medlin, Ray Brooks and Danny Brooks.
