He was predeceased by: his parents, Rother Rotherall and Bessie Irene Johnson Stanley; and his siblings, Earl Stanley (Eula-May), Wade Stanley (Faye), Sherwood Stanley (Dorothy), Marvin Stanley (Mattie), Doris Jones, Margaret Lee (Willie) and Maxine O'Connoll (John).

He is survived by: his son Jimmy "Jimbo" Stanley, Jr.; his grandchildren, Ashley Brown (Hunter) and Jonathan Stanley (Savannah); and his great grandchildren, Jonah, Fisher Stanley and Kennedy Brown. He is also survived by his family especially his son and grandchildren.
