He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Weber Shuman and Katie Honeycutt Shuman; his brothers, Louis Patton and Sidney Sterling Shuman; and his granddaughter Blythe Kailee Shuman.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Shuman; his children, Garry Shuman (Jenna) of Garner, Dena Joyner (Terry) of Four Oaks and Karen Chadwick (Tony) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Trevor, Reece Capps, Malin, Rohan Shuman, Easton Joyner, Brendan and Ashlyn Chadwick; his great grandchildren, Naomi and Willow Shuman; and his brothers, Richard Shuman of Charlotte, Doug Shuman of Charlotte and George Shuman of Charlotte.
