She is survived by: her sons, Mark Averett and Thomas Averett (Karen); her grandsons, Tyler Averett and Nathaniel Averett (Robin); and her siblings, Josephine Snyder, Mildred Newton, Opie Sue Link (Harold), Willie Lee Overton, Shirley R. Overton and Roy T. Overton (Linda). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
