He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Medlin Seagroves and James R. Seagroves; and his siblings, Nancy Altman, Charles Seagroves and Ronnie Seagroves.
He is survived by: his wife Camelia Jones Seagroves; his daughter Catherine Seagroves Miller (Tommy) of Willow Springs; his brother Donnie Seagroves (Sandra) of Dunn; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Johnson of Raleigh and Jerry Jones (Brenda) of Garner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
