It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Howard Walter Shupe (Garner, North Carolina), born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 24, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Michener Shupe and Elmer Mark Shupe; his stepmothers, Sara and Grace; and his brother Harvey Shupe.
He is survived by: his wife Melre Naylor Shupe; his daughters, Sara Hauser (Jim) and Carol Carlton (Kelly); his grandchildren, Megan Hauser, Brittany H. Raub (Jeffrey), Christian Hauser, Eric Carlton and Emily C. Banks (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Anderson Birkenmeyer, Parker Raub and Baby Boy Banks; and his cousin Warren Michener. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church - Knightdale (8400 Poole Rd, Knightdale, NC 27545).
