She was predeceased by: her siblings, Paul and Hazel; and her husband William H. Chavis, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, William (Jacqueline), Leonard (Yvonne), Dennis (Karen), Linda (Plummer), Valerie and Anthony (Kikue). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and various friends.
