She was predeceased by: her parents, Carson Freeman Spence and Bessie Dean Spence; her husband Danny R. Emory; and her siblings, Wiley Spence (Hazel) of Durham, Sally June Brown (Robert) of Fuquay-Varina, Barbara Spence Goss (Sherrill) of Fuquay-Varina, Sandra Dean Spence of Fuquay-Varina and Steve Carson Spence of Fuquay-Varina.
She is survived by: her daughter Ronda E. Swindell (Charles) of Raleigh; and her grandchildren, Clarke Taylor Swindell (Apple Grace) of Atlanta, GA and Lauren Elizabeth Swindell. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
