She was predeceased by: her sisters, Dot Norris and Billie Wall. She is survived by: her spouse Herlet Ray Bright; her stepson Michael Ray Bright (Cora Fayenett Bright); and her sister Edna Wells (Ervin Wells). She is also survived by three nieces, two nephews, and their many children.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Heartland Hospice of Raleigh.
