He was predeceased by: his brother Michael William Bernstein. He is survived by: his parents, Larry Bernstein and Deborah Halaby; his stepmother Nancy Smyth; his sister Melanie Beth Bernstein; and his stepbrothers, Scott and Daniel Massey.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make donations to a charity of your choice, in David's Memory.
