He is survived by: his wife Beverly Grissom Batten; his children, Kelli Batten Adcock (Craig) of Garner and Collin Batten (Alli) of New York; his siblings, Betty Pittman (Mark) of Pine Level, Mahilda Barbee (Mike) of Harkers Island and Steve Batten (Cathy) of Selma; his grandchildren, Blake Adcock, Rhylee Adcock and Elliott Batten; and his parents-in-law, Marshall and Shirley Grissom.
