As Christanne Teresa Heyward departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Christanne Teresa Heyward may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Christanne Teresa Heyward leaves behind.
She is survived by: her daughter Latishia S. Coleman; her grandchildren, Justin Coleman, Christian Coleman, Landen Coleman and Johnnia Cannon; and her siblings, Sam Heyward (Iva), Joanne Heyward, Abraham Heyward Jr. (Aubrey), Caroline Heyward and Isaac Heyward. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Steven L Lyons Funeral Home (1515 New Bern Ave, Raleigh, NC 27610). Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Matthew AME Church (1629 Bennett St, Raleigh, NC 27610). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
