He is survived by: his children, Melanie Stephens (David) of Creedmoor, Vickie Grissom (Robert) of Creedmoor, Gina Morris (Roger) of Oxford, Tami Gardner of Smithfield, Blonnie "Dee" Wheelous of Lake Worth, Mia Howell (Donnie) of Franklinton and Charlie Wheelous Jr. of Creedmoor; his sister Mary Nell Wheelous; and his siblings-in-law, Cecil Keith and Emma Ruth Woodlief. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.
