He is survived by: his wife Carol Gardner; his daughters, Angela Thompson of Garner and Dawn Goodwin (Tim) of Garner; his siblings, Sherry Hodge (Dennis), Teddy Wayne Gardner (Cheryl) and Danny Ray Gardner (Rosa Lee); and his granddaughter Samantha Goodwin.
