He is survived by: his children, Jason Murphy (Courtney) of Clayton and Anita Williams (Don) of Garner; his grandchildren, Madeline, Clara Murphy, Lily and Edie Williams; his siblings, Peggy Allen of High Point, Linda Williams of Burlington, Charles Murphy of Wendell and Tommy Murphy of Raleigh; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Freeman of Raleigh and Margaret Lusk of Garner. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
