He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurschel Broome and Mattie Smith Broome; and his siblings-in-law, Marie Hill and Jerry Osborne. He is survived by: his wife Ruby Broome; his children, Steven Broome (Wanda) and Karen Broome; his grandsons, Joshua, Matthew and Andrew; his brother Charles Wayne Broome (Alva Jean); and his siblings-in-law, John Hill (Jeanette) and Glenda Osborne. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
