It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Pearce Umstead (Garner, North Carolina), who passed away on April 26, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Plybon and Daisy Leigh Murray Pearce; and her husband Willis. She is survived by: her daughters, Cathryne Umstead Kratt (Bill) and Elizabeth Umstead McLaughlin (Jan Michael); her grandsons, Eli Kratt, Ethan Kratt, Justin Studenberg, David Chesson, Zach Chesson and Adam Chesson; and her brothers, Doug Pearce (Gennie) and Charles Pearce (Pat). She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
