It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Kirby Bousman (Garner, North Carolina), born in Crimora, Virginia, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Henry and Hattie Shaner Kirby; her husband Dr. James R. Bousman; her granddaughter Megan Marie Jones; and her siblings, Lydia O'Baugh, Edna Wiseman, Warner Kirby, Ruth Anderson, Mazie Wampler, Samuel Kirby, Joseph Kirby and Charlsie Langford.
She is survived by: her children, Monica Bousman, Melody Bousman Jones (Harry) and James Robert Bousman (DeAnna); her grandchildren, Robert Bousman (Karlie), Jacob Jones, Caroline Bousman Shults (Byron) and Kirby Elizabeth Jones; and her sister Margaret Kirby Miller. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
