She was predeceased by: her parents, Loomis Braxton Truelove and Pearl Byrd Truelove Blackley; her husband James Ernest "Bunnie" Reaves; her sister Anna Braxine Sasser; and her daughter-in-law Janet Johnson Reaves (David).

She is survived by: her children, James Kent Reaves (Jan), Elizabeth Waddell (Ricky) and David Reaves; her grandchildren, Jessica Meyer (Jesse), Vicky Andrews (Brandon), Michael Reaves, Lauren Williams (Tolston), Jordan Reaves and Mackenzie Reaves; and her great grandchildren, Caden Meyer, Braxton Andrews, Lila Reaves, Avery Meyer, Carsyn Andrews, Lilyann Williams and Talmadge Williams.
