He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph A. Bowen and Carrie Mae Bowen; and his siblings, Joyce Bunn and Joseph Bowen, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Helen J. Bowen; and his children, Misty D. Bowen and Chris Bowen (Stephanie). He is also survived by three grandchildren.
