He is survived by: his wife Marian Brantley Neese; his children, Julia Brantley Neese Pennington of Garner and Charlie Ashton Neese of Garner; and his grandchildren, Holly Ashleh Pennington Gorneau (Brian) of Garner and Mallie A. Pennington, III (Kaitlyn) of Garner.
