He was predeceased by: his father Lacy Jernigan; and his siblings, Earl Jernigan, Jerry Jernigan, Glenn Jernigan, Janice Smith, Patricia Peterson and Bonnie Bivens.
He is survived by: his wife Vivian Jernigan; his children, Heather Watts (Wayne) of Garland, Eric Jernigan (Linda) of Garland and Jason Jernigan (Marci) of Roseboro; his brother Billy Jernigan (Diane) of Garland; and his grandchildren, Cassidy Watts, Landon Watts, Zoey Jernigan, Saydi Jernigan and Waylon Jernigan.
