He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Kerr and Mary Lillian Monroe Kerr; and his brothers, Dennis Kerr and Carl Kerr. He is survived by: his children, Melissa Melvin of Garland, Patreece Herring of Clinton, Steven Maruscsak, Peter Maruscsak of Garland, Darius Newton of Harrells and Andre Montgomery of Clinton; and his siblings, Laura Corbett (Billy) of Harrells, Mary Newkirk of Zebulon, Shirley Kerr of Raleigh and Julius Kerr (Nancy) of Garland. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren 6 great-grandchildren.
