He was predeceased by : his former life partner Jeanette Newkirk Moore; and his sisters, Lula Williams and Brenda Evans. He is survived by : his wife Mary Lilla Moore; his children, Jimmy Lee Moore (Mary) of Clinton, Johnnie James Moore, Jr. (Ana), Roger Moore of Clinton, Linda Gail Carr of Fayetteville, Jennifer Moore of Roseboro and Melissa Ann Moore of Garland; his siblings, Frank Moore of Clinton, Earnestine Howard of Roseboro, Betty Hinton of Maryland, Christine Jones of Clinton, Katherine Moore of Clinton and Mary Murphy of Durham; and his grandson Tyric Rondale Smith of Michigan. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
