Though Geneva Highsmith may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bennie Townsend; her sister Annie Shaw; and her grandson Shawn Terrell Graham. She is survived by: her daughter Retha D. Graham of Garland; her sisters, Eunice Beatty of Harrells and Rachel Fryar of Clinton, NC; and her grandson William "DJ" Darnell Graham of Garland. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home (111 N Ingold Ave, Garland, NC 28441). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ (718 Garland Airport Rd, Garland, NC 28441).
