She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond A. Simmons and Estelle Boone Simmons; and her sisters, Madelene Brown and Vickie Jackson. She is survived by: her husband James Ray Newkirk; her children, Kathy N. Moore (Tony) of Turkey and Tommy R. Newkirk (Melissa) of Garland; her sister Ruth Faircloth of Garland; her grandchildren, Joshua Moore (Brandi) of Turkey, Sara M. Carter (Berklin) of Turkey, Marianne Moore of Turkey, Sabrina Newkirk and Darren Newkirk; and her great grandchild Case James Carter.
