She was predeceased by: her father James H. Horne; her husband David Staton; and her siblings, Charles Horne and Magdalene Edge. She is survived by: her mother-in-law Rebecca Marshall Horne; her children, Richard Staton of Kenansville and Renee Freeman (LH) of Supply; and her siblings, Minnie Horne of Garland, Eunice Fincannon of Garland, Becky Moser of Garland and Marshall Horne (Betty Jo) of Garland. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Garland Baptist Church (55 W 2nd St, Garland, NC 28441). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Garland Cemetery (1030 Harrells Hwy, Garland, NC 28441).
