With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles Carter (Garland, North Carolina), who passed away on August 4, 2019 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Carter and Margaret Bradshaw Carter; and his brother Dewey Carter. He is survived by: his wife Lula P. Carter; his sons, Eddie Carter (Jessicca Carter) of Garland and David Carter (Nancy Carter) of Garland; his sister Stella "Sister" Hairr of Wilmington; and his grandsons, Allen Carter, Lucas Keel, Dustin Carter and Andrew Carter.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Garland Rescue Squad P.O. Box 24, Garland, NC 28441.

“To Lula, Eddie, David and family: Our hearts are grieving. There was only one Buck Carter, and he was loved by everyone. He never met a stranger. We have so many happy & fun memories of him. Bobby loved hunting with him & the other guys, and I loved the times I had the opportunity to talk with him when I worked with Sampson County EMS. He had a great sense of humor and kept you laughing.
