She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Johnson and Annie Mae Smith Johnson; her husband Reverend Edwin Odell Peterson; and her brothers, Bobby Johnson, Paul "Moody" Johnson and Clayton Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, Edwin "Dale" O. Peterson Jr. (Tina) of Smithfield, NC and Steve C. Peterson (Angie) of Garland; her grandchildren, Emily Peterson of Smithfield and Craig Peterson of Garland; and her sister-in-law Barbara Jean Johnson of Garland.
