She was predeceased by: her father Dewey Barefoot; her foster parents, Ruby Stewart and Nelson Stewart; and her siblings, Denny Barefoot and Annie B. Lewis.
She is survived by: her husband Delean "Snook" Pleasant; her sons, Marty Pleasant (Tammy) and Charles Pleasant (Jennifer); and her grandchildren, Benjamin Whitley (Hannah), April Joyner (T. J. Stumpf), Hunter Pleasant, Blake Joyner, Codi Joyner and Haylee Pleasant.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel (90 W Stewart St, Coats, NC 27521). A reception was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rose and Graham Funeral Home (90 W Stewart St, Coats, NC 27521).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
