He was predeceased by: his parents, Hampton Haney and Aleen Haney; and his siblings, Jackie, Michael, Stephen Haney, Joan Wells and Patricia Edge.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Haney; his children, Melissa A Haney, Vicky R Haney and Ricky Dean Haney; his grandchildren, Katharina, Krystyna Thomas, William J Adams III and Everette J Russell; and his great grandchildren, Oren M Griffin III and Kamdyn N Griffin.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to send donations to Transitions Life Care at 250 Hospice Circle in Raleigh NC.
