It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lawrence D. Kaufmann in Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, born in Huntington, New York, who passed away on March 13, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kaufmann and Mildred Kaufmann; his parents-in-law, Nicholas J. Miceli and Jessica M. Miceli; his brother-in-law Nicholas C. "Nicky" Miceli; and his cocker spaniel Shanni Michelle.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Kaufmann; his daughters, Laurie J. Kaufmann-Robedee and Jennifer L. Kaufmann-Olaya; his children-in-law, Will B. "Brent" Robedee Sr. and Elias A. Kaufmann-Olaya; his grandchildren, Will B. Robedee Jr., Dale Lawrence Robedee, Adrianna M. Kaufmann-Olaya and Cassandra E. Kaufmann-Olaya; his brother Neil B. Kaufmann; his sister-in-law Gail Kaufmann; his friend Steve Zivitz; and his siblings, Ken and Carol Lantz.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel (401 N Ennis St, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526). The military honors was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
