He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Surles and Lucille Surles. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Surles; his children, Joey Surles (Kalyn) and Kaitlyn Bannes (Shane); and his grandchildren, Levi, Steven Bannes and Jessie Surles.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas Funeral Home Chapel (401 N Ennis St, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526). A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Angier Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (395 E Depot St, Angier, NC 27501).
