We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2024, at the age of 30, Jonah Samuel Weiss of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Jonah Samuel shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jonah Samuel farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He is survived by: his parents, Ivy Dearman of Apex, NC and Jim Weiss of Spokane, WA.; his sister Sabrina; his nephew Elliott; his cousins, Matt and Amanda; and his close friends, Hayden, Paul and Chris.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Renaissance Funeral Home (7615 Six Forks Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615). A burial was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Raleigh Memorial Park (7501 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612).

Though he was a little younger than me, he and I had a lot of wonderful times together, often training or remaining active in the pursuit of ensuring civil liberties for others. I had spoken to him the day before his passing, and had I known that would have been the last day we'd speak, I would have told him more than I did.
