He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Lewis Dean Sr. and Emily Huggins Dean; his brother Charlie Lewis Dean Jr.; his daughter Kristie Paige Dean; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby Hamilton and Tommy Keith.
He is survived by: his sisters, Billie Hamilton of Kipling, Shirley Keith of Fuquay and Faye (Pete) of Fuquay; his daughters, Julie Dean Dwyer and Amy Dean Thompson; his son-in-law Les Thompson of Cary; his grandsons, Russell Dwyer, Ryan Dwyer, Kyle Thompson and Daniel Thompson (Anniston Thompson); his great grandchildren, Mia Thompson and Emmy Thompson; and his pet Daisy.
