He is survived by: his children, Lynette Palmer (Horace) of Holly Springs, Cassandra Freeman (Lloyd) of Holly Springs, Rhonda King, Michelle Stuart-Smith and Andrew Woodard (Lori) of Angier; his sisters, Betty Moore (Doug) of Fuquay-Varina, Lola Judd of Raleigh and Catherine Stuart of Fuquay-Varina; his sister-in-law Fannie Stuart of Raeford; his grandchildren, Angelica Spann (Darnell), Joshua Palmer, Carmen Perry, Anthony Perry, Erica Elder, Ashley Lee, Andrew Woodard, Elijah Woodard and Kendall King; and his great grandchild Ryan Spann. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other friends and relatives.
