Ellietson David Rogers Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 24, 2025, at the age of 94, Ellietson David Rogers of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Ellietson David farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ellietson David is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his brother George Vaughn Rogers. He is survived by: his brother John Harvey Rogers of East Wenatchee, WA; his children, Terri Rogers of Fuquay-Varina, NC, Scott Rogers (Judy) of Lillington, NC and Melany Rogers Gray (Dusty) of Larchmont, NY.; and his grandchildren, Matthew Gray, Daniel Rogers (Brittany), Ian Gray (Jill), David Rogers (Tina) and Jo Rogers. He is also survived by two nieces and two nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery (8220 Bragg Blvd, Fort Liberty, NC 28310).
Gifts in lieu of flowers may be made to Army Emergency Relief (AER; armyemergencyrelief.org), a nonprofit that Sam supported for years.
