He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vera Robinson Powell of Ahoskie and Clinton Powell; his wife Joyce Powell; his children, Larry Clinton Powell Jr., Travis Powell, Sheneka Hicks and Latrina Bell (Jacobian); his stepchildren, Johnnie Jones, Julius Jones, Tessa Jones (William), Ashley Suggs (Greg) and Adrian Jones; his sisters, Carolyn Powell, Judy Powell (Melvin), Catherine Powell (Joe), Patricia Wilder (Fred), Lisa Brooks (Ralph) and Debra Lee (Robert); his grandson Nasiar Jones; and his siblings, Curtis Raby and Joyce Harrell. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
