She was predeceased by : her husband George E. Yelverton; her son Steve Yelverton; and her parents, Edgar Taylor and Selma Lane Taylor. She is survived by : her children, Mary-Kay Reynolds (Rich) of Snohomish, Washington, Bill Yelverton (Jan Kelly) of Goldsboro and Eddie Yelverton (Cindy) of Fremont; her grandchildren, Scott Yelverton of Fremont and Maegan Yelverton (Masha Thorne) of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and her sister Dr. Mary Lane Wood of Warsaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fremont UMC, PO Box 147, Fremont, NC 27830.
