With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Thomas Smith of Fremont, North Carolina, who passed away on February 15, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by : his wife Judy Carolyn Lamm Smith; his son Dr. J. Scott Smith of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Andrew, Catherine, Patrick and William Smith; and his sister Sandra Alexander (Benny) of Wilson.
