He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Overman and Julia Hooks Overman. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Flowers Overman; his son Fred Hooks Overman of Greenville; and his sisters, Judith Aycock (Peter) of Pikeville, Betty Wiggins of LaGrange and Faye Jones of Goldsboro.
