It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Carraway Parris of Fremont, North Carolina, who passed away on June 3, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Arthur Galloway Parris; her son Ernest Ray Parris; her parents, Albert Lee Carraway and Clara Harris Carroway; and her sister Lydia Carraway.

She is survived by : her son Steve Allen Parris of Lucama; her grandsons, Jeffrey Steven Parris of Raleigh and David Allen Parris of Clayton; her great grandchild Max Alexander Parris; and her siblings, Peggy Jean Carraway Bradley (Linwood), Lillian Dale Carraway Parrish, Troy Carraway, Raymond Carraway, Earl Carraway, Ray Lee Carraway and Bobby Carraway.
